There will be 12 medals for 12 disciplines of obstacle sports at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia next month.
Participating countries from Cambodia, Brunei, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Laos will join the sports to take place from May 3 to 7 at an outdoor court of Chroy Changvar Convention and Exhibition Centre.
According Mr. Camelo Sanchez, coach of Cambodian national athletes, Cambodia prepares 12 athletes, six of them are female, for the challenge.
The Cambodian national athletes are training hard, said the coach, expecting that they will earn medals for the nation.
The 12 disciplines include two-men individual, two-women individual, four-men relay, and four-women relay.
Cambodia will host the 32nd SEA Games from May 5 to 12 and the 12th ASEAN Para Games from June 3 to 9 under the motto “Sport: Live in Peace”.
In total 12,404 sports delegates will join the forthcoming games.
A total of 36 sports and a demonstration sport (teqball) have been listed for the 32nd SEA Games and 13 for the 12th ASEAN Para Games.
