A business luncheon, under the theme ‘Super-Connecting New Pathways to Success: Hong Kong-Cambodia Partnerships in Fostering Mutual Prosperity and Economic Development,’ was held at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra on July 31.

The event was graced by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and H.E. John KC Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

In his keynote address, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister underscored Cambodia’s potential and favourable business environment such as political and macroeconomic stability, young and dynamic labour forces, incentives of the Royal Government, and interconnected physical infrastructure, and so on.

H.E. Sun Chanthol was also optimistic that all participating investors in the business luncheon would bring back the Kingdom’s current investment environment to their business community.

On the occasion, H.E. Sun Chanthol and H.E. John KC Lee witnessed the exchange of 11 coop
eration MoUs covering many areas including investment, trade, infrastructure, education, finance, connectivity, and civil aviation between ministries and institutions and the private sector.
