Ahmad Zahid Reminds Opposition Leaders To Avoid Taqiyyah

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has reminded opposition leaders not to practise taqiyyah or hypocrisy just to secure allocations from the federal government.

He said several opposition-led states appeared ungrateful for what had been provided by the federal government.

“We know that there are states that do not have good rapport, but we greatly admire the Prime Minister’s (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) openness in not sidelining any state in providing allocations.

‘However, some states are not appreciative of what they receive. In such circumstances, we see leaders putting on sweet faces (in front of us), but behind us, especially during by-elections or state elections, they continue to hurl insults and spread slander,” he said when closing the Rural Entrepreneurs Carnival (KUD)@Festival D’ Bendang Melaka 2024 at Kem Benteng Negara, Sungai Rambai here today.

Also present were Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, state Tourism, Heritage, Arts and Culture Committee chairman Da
tuk Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman and Sungai Rambai assemblyman Siti Faizah Abdul Azis.
