Cambodia registered more than 420,000 visitors last week, of them approximately 361,200 were domestic tourists and 65,000 were international visitors, according to a report of the Ministry of Tourism AKP received this morning.

During the period from Aug. 5 to 11, the source continued, 17,355 tickets were sold to foreign tourists for the Angkor Archaeological Park, reflecting a 3.7 percent increase and generating a total revenue of US$814,775 (a 5.9 percent increase).

At the same time, the three international airports in Cambodia handled a total of 474 international flights, including 356 flights by Phnom Penh International Airport, 103 flights by Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, and 15 flights by Sihanoukville International Airport, the report pointed out.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, the number of international visitors to Cambodia is predicted to reach 7 million by 2025, surpassing the pre-COVID-19 pandemic level of 6.6 million (2019).

ecently listed among the top 25 Asia’s best tourist attractions in the latest award by Tripadvisor.

Angkor Wat of Siem Reap took second place in the award, and Ta Prohm and Bayon Temples of the province made it to the 19th and 20th, respectively, while Phnom Penh’s Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum obtained 22nd place.

Besides ancient temples, the Kingdom has a 450-kilometre-long pristine coastline stretching across four southwestern provinces of Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, Kep and Koh Kong.
