NOCC President Appreciates Rapper VannDa’s Performance at Paris 2024 Olympics Closing


The President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) expresses his optimism about the performance of Cambodia’s rap star VannDa at the closing ceremony of the 33rd Olympics in Paris, France.

The NOCC president, H.E. Dr. Thong Khon, who is also a Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions, shared his appreciation upon VannDa’s return on Aug. 14 at Phnom Penh International Airport after.

Deeply grateful to the Government of France for the honour given to Cambodia, H.E. Dr. Thong Khon noted that VaanDa’s performance contributes significantly to building the reputation of Cambodia and its rich culture around the world.

VannDa, with the registered name Mann Vannda, considered it a great opportunity that comes only once in a lifetime, adding that he chose to perform his song titled ‘Time to Rise’ to dedicate it to the late Cambodian legendary Chapei Dang Veng master Kong Nay, who collaborated with VannDa on the song that topped the hit list.
