Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet received here this morning a group of twelve Chinese companies led by Mr. Zhao Yudong, Chairman of Everbright Group Everbright Sunshine Asset Management Co., Ltd.

In the meeting, Mr. Zhao Yudong expressed his interest to Cambodia’s investment environment and told the Cambodian Premier of the twelve companies, saying that they are from different sectors including clean energy and environment, health, agriculture, industry, finance and so on.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed welcome to all the representatives of the twelve companies and stressed that the potential areas of interest of the delegation are the priority areas to which the Royal Government is paying attention and in which investments are encouraged.

Samdech Thipadei also highlighted the strategic policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia in establishing a framework for foreign investors, including the introduction of the Investment Law, regulations, and necessary
measures with a package of incentives that create a favourable, predictable and rich investment environment.

The Prime Minister encouraged the delegation to continue to cooperate and discuss with the relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government, especially the Council for the Development of Cambodia to get more information and to find out more about the Kingdom’s investment potential.
