Cambodian PM Encourages More Cultural Exchanges with Korea Through Art Exhibitions

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from visiting Mr. Lee Sang Yoon, Executive Director of Haeju Industry Development, at the Peace Palace here this afternoon.

In the meeting, Mr. Lee Sang Yoon lauded the progress in all fields in Cambodia and informed the Cambodian Premier about the success of the company’s recent exhibition of paintings in the Kingdom.

Based on this successful experience, he continued, the company is planning to organise another exhibition and the funds collected will be donated to the Cambodian Red Cross for humanitarian activities.

On the occasion, Mr. Lee Sang Yoon handed over a beautiful painting of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, to Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.

For his part, the Prime Minister congratulated the company on the success of the first exhibition of paintings held at the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, and encouraged the company to continue
to organise such exhibitions in Cambodia, which will contribute to promoting cultural exchanges and connecting the two countries’ people.

Samdech Thipadei thanked Mr. Lee Sang Yoon for the beautiful painting of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, which is a symbol of his struggle and sacrifice for the national liberation and the pursuit of complete peace for the country and the people of Cambodia.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister of Cambodia, initiated the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea in 1997.
