The registration of voters and the verification of voter lists for the year 2024 will kick off on Sept. 1 and last until Sept. 16 at the communes/Sangkat across the country.

The National Election Committee (NEC) made the announcement in a meeting with stakeholders held at the NEC’s headquarters in Phnom Penh this morning under the chairmanship of H.E. Mean Satik, a Member of NEC.

On the occasion, H.E. Mean Satik called on all the citizens who reached the age of 18 and those aged 18 years old and up, but not yet registered to get registered to fulfill their rights in accordance with the principle of democracy.

Those who have already registered are also required to verify their names and data posted at the communes/Sangkat or at the NEC’s website: voterlist.nec.gov.kh or mobile application: NEC KH, he added.

Voter registration and voter verification are conducted every year to update the voter lists so that they are complete and accurate.

According to the 2023 official voter lists, Cambodia has in total
9,871,495 eligible voters, of them 5,240,979 are women. The figure represents about 89.92 percent of the total population of 18 years old and up.
