YSIJ, Eco-Shop Present Donations To Kadi Office, Mosques In Segamat


KUALA LUMPUR, Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ), in collaboration with Eco-Shop Marketing Sdn Bhd, today presented donations worth RM368,000 to the Segamat district Kadi Office and mosques.

According to a post on the Facebook account of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, King of Malaysia, of this figure, RM118,000 was donated to the Segamat Kadi Office, and RM165,000 worth of fans and chairs were distributed to 68 mosques in the district.

All 68 mosques also received a cash donation from the Malaysian Social Entrepreneurs Foundation (MSEF), totalling RM68,000.

YSIJ trustee Datuk Avinderjit Singh, through the post, said the Bandar Segamat Mosque also received office equipment and a public address system valued at RM17,000.

Eco-Shop Marketing managing director Datuk Seri Lee Kar Whatt handed over the mock cheques to Avinderjit in a ceremony held in Segamat.

According to Avinderjit, YSIJ also received RM5 million of funds from the company.

‘Since 2021, Eco-Shop Marketing Sdn Bhd has contributed nearly RM6
million to YSIJ to support various community activities. This contribution allows YSIJ to continue assisting and providing various aids to those in need in Johor,’ he said, adding that they would go to the ground nearly every week to help those in need, distributing food baskets as well as other forms of assistance.
