Mugunghwa Trust Co., Ltd., a leading trust company in the Republic of Korea, has planned to visit Cambodia to seek investment opportunities to contribute to the latter’s socio-economic development.

Mr. Oh Chang-seok, Chairman of Mugunghwa Trust Co., Ltd. revealed his company’s plan while paying a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of Senate of Cambodia, in Seoul on Sept. 10.

He explained his company’s interest to invest in Cambodia by the Kingdom’s peace, stability and safety as well as the good relations and cooperation between the two countries.

In reply, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked Mr. Oh Chang-seok’s intention to invest in Cambodia, saying that the trust system in the Kingdom has just been established in the past few years and has not yet run properly. Anyway, he continued, Cambodia really needs this system to attract more investments.

In this regard, the Cambodian senate president encouraged Mugunghwa Trust Co., Ltd. to study the existing legal aspects and partn
er with Cambodian licensed companies, and asked the Korean company for the possibility of investing in other fields besides the trust sector.
