Preah Sihanouk, Jiangsu to Foster Tourism Collaboration


Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province and Jiangsu province of the People’s Republic of China are committed to further fostering cooperation on health, education, and tourism.

The commitment was made in a meeting between H.E. Mang Sinet, Governor of Preah Sihanouk province, and visiting Vice Governor of Jiangsu province Mr. Xia Xinmin, in Preah Sihanouk province on Sept. 9.

H.E. Mang Sinet underlined the 66th anniversary of Cambodia-China diplomatic relations and briefed Mr. Xia Xinmin of Preah Sihanouk’s investment potential and upgraded infrastructure.

The Royal Government of Cambodia is transforming Preah Sihanouk province into an economic and national growth centre, industrial and logistic areas, and an important gateway for the ASEAN and world markets, he said.

He added that in 2023, the export-import volume of Preah Sihanouk’s special economic zones valuated at over US$3.36 billion, up over 34 percent compared to the previous year.

Mr. Xia Xinmin appreciated the province’s rapid development and thanke
d the provincial administration for supporting the cooperation between the two countries’ Preah Sihanouk-Jiangsu provinces.
