Cambodian Acting Head of State Extends Condolences over Vietnam’s Loss due to Typhoon Yagi

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a message to H.E. To Lam, President Socialist Republic of Vietnam, extending his sympathy and condolences over Vietnam’s loss caused by Typhoon Yagi.

‘It is with profound sadness to learn that Typhoon Yagi has hit the northern part of Viet Nam causing widespread destruction, including more than 200 deaths, more than 800 injured people, damaged or destroyed infrastructure, and the evacuation of many families,’ read the message dated Sept. 13.

‘In this moment of deep sorrow, on behalf of the people of Cambodia, I would like to express my sincere sympathy and condolences to you and through you to the families of the victims and the Government and the people of Viet Nam for these great losses. May the deceased rest in peace. I would like to wish the injured speedy and full recovery,’ wrote Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
