Cambodia to Host Asian Kickboxing Championships 2024

Cambodia will host the Asian Kickboxing Championships 2024 in Phnom Penh from Oct. 6 to 13.

The update was shared by Mr. Heng Sokkhon, President of Kickboxing Federation of Cambodia (KFC), adding that Cambodia was entrusted by the Board of Asian Kickboxing Federation to host the tournament thanks to its success in hosting the SEA Games 2023.

Up to now, over 600 athletes from 22 countries have signed up for the event, said the federation’s president.

According to Mr. Heng Sokkhon, the registration deadline for the forthcoming event will be Sept. 30.

About 50 Cambodian kickboxers are expected to join the event with other countries that have registered between 40 and 60 fighters for it.

It will be the first time for Cambodia to host the championships of three competition categories: full contact, low kick, and K1.
