Cambodian PM Meets with Former British PM

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet received here at the Peace Palace this morning H.E. Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister and Executive Chairman of Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI).

In the meeting, H.E. Tony Blair praised the remarkable progress of Cambodia and highly evaluated the Pentagonal Strategy Phase 1. He also expressed his intention to cooperate with the Royal Government of Cambodia in contribution to achieving Cambodia’s strategic goals.

H.E. Tony Blair informed the Cambodian Premier on the TBI’s activities, saying that TBI is a strategic research institute with a mission to provide policy concepts and development strategies to governments around the world.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet commended the TBI’s activities and mission, and thanked the institute for its interest in cooperating with the Royal Government of Cambodia.

The Prime Minister briefed his guest on the one-year achievements of the 7th-mandate Royal Government, and encour
aged the institute to continue the contacts and discuss specific cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions of Cambodia.

Samdech Thipadei and H.E. Tony Blair also exchanged experiences and views on potential areas for cooperation and socio-economic development, including education, vocational training, health, digital and investment.
