Cambodia ambitiously expects to grab numerous medals at the SEA Games 2023 in the country.

The expectation was echoed by H.E. Sar Sokha, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and Vice President of the Cambodian SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games Organising Committees (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC) after inspecting the work progress of the National Sports Federations at Morodok Techo National Stadium on April 26.

Cambodia is ready for the SEA Games and to win medals, especially in Kun Lbokator, Vovinam, and other sports, he said.

The number of medals at the SEA Games 2023 is more than that in the previous SEA Games as more disciplines have been added.

More than 12,000 sports delegates will join the games, including some 1,200 Cambodian athletes.

Cambodia will host the 32nd SEA Games from May 5 to 12 and the 12th ASEAN Para Games from June 3 to 9 under the motto “Sport: Live in Peace”.

A total of 36 sports and a demonstration sport (teqball) have been listed for the 32nd SEA Games and 13 for the 12th ASEAN Para Games.
