DMG Mori Delegation Pays Courtesy Call on Cambodian PM

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen received here at the Peace Palace this afternoon a courtesy call from a delegation of DMG Mori Co., Ltd. led by its President Mr. Mori Masahiko.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Personal Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, in the meeting, Mr. Mori Masahiko informed Samdech Techo Hun Sen about the Cambodia-Japan Digital Manufacturing Centre (CJDM), which has three objectives: first, to promote industrial digitalisation in Cambodia; second, to promote human resource development in digital industry; and third, to promote the collaboration between industries that use digital systems.

The CJDM is a joint project between the Government of Japan, Royal University of Phnom Penh and DMG Mori, the president said, affirming that his company will continue to train Cambodia how to use the machines imported by the company to Cambodia.

In reply, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his support to the project and asked the company and the Government of Japan to continue to help Cambodia advances in the digital field.

The Prime Minister said Cambodia is promoting the digital sector and the country has two goals for the industrial sector – boosting investment in industry to serve the processing of existing raw materials for export, and attracting new technology to Cambodia.
