The Ministry of Environment has notified that anyone who participates in the Mother Nature movement led by Mr. Alejandro Gonzalez Davidson, a Spanish national must be held accountable before the law.
According to the Ministry’s statement issued this week, a network branded itself as “Mother Nature” led by Mr. Alejandro Gonzalez Davidson is illegal.
The group, said the statement, has not been registered as an association or non-governmental organisation (NGO) under the Law on Associations and Non-Governmental Organisations.
In 2017, the head of this organisation submitted a letter requesting its dissolution to the Ministry of Interior, so the Ministry of Interior on Sept. 15, 2017 removed the name Mother Nature from the list of non-governmental organisations.
The ministry highlights that all activities committed by this entity and group are against the interest of Cambodian society and contrary to the provisions of the Civil Code, the Criminal Code and the Law on Associations and Non-Governmental Organisations.
