SEA Games 2023: Cambodia Grabs Two Gold Medals for Kickboxing

Cambodia won five medals for Kickboxing competition as part of SEA Games 2023 held at Morodok Techo National Stadium this evening.

Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence and President of the Cambodian SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games Organising Committees (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC), attended the competition and conferred medals to champions.

Of the five medals, Cambodia gained two gold, one silver and two bronze.

Two Cambodian gold medalists defeated their opponents by final score. While Sok Rith defeated his Vietnamese challenger Huynh Van Tuan for Men’s Low Kick-51kg category, Cambodian athlete Toch Rachhan won his Vietnamese counterpart Huy Nguyen Quang for Men’s Low Kick-57kg category,

Besides, Cambodian fighter San Rakim got a silver medal after he lost to his Filipino rival Saclag Jean Claude for Men’s Low Kick-63.5kg.

Moreover, while Cambodian fighter Chan Vicheka obtained a bronze medal for Women’s Light Contact-50kg category, the other Cambodian athlete Met Borin also earned a bronze medal for Men’s Kick Light-63 kg category.

Cambodia is hosting the 32nd SEA Games from May 5 to 17 under the motto: “Sport: Live in Peace”.
