A fishing boat capsized in waters off South Korea's southwestern coast early Thursday, leaving three sailors missing, the Coast Guard said. The 33-ton eel fishing trawler was overturned in waters northeast of Gageo Island off Mokpo, 309 kilometers southwest of Seoul, at 3:18 a.m. Of the nine people aboard the ship, six were rescued by nearby fishing boats, but three remain missing. The Coast Guard is searching for the missing, including two foreigners and one Korean. They plan to investigate the exact cause of the incident after rescue operations are concluded.
