Angkor Thom’s Takav Gate Attracting More Tourists after Restoration

Takav Gate, one of the four gates of Angkor Thom, has been attracting more and more tourists to visit and take pictures almost every day after being renovated by experts of the APSARA National Authority.

The team leader of the tourism agents stationed at the Takav Gate, Mr. Leas Kimlek, explained that the gate has four-face Brahma, smiling and welcoming. Surrounded by water, small and large trees grow together to create a very attractive landscape.

At the Takav Gate, he added, the light from the sunset shines on the top of this ancient structure, creating a stunning scene.

Takav is located in the west of Bayon Temple. The gate was made of sandstone and laterite with three four-faced Brahma above.
