ASEAN and GCC are committed to working together to urge for a resolution in the conflict of Israel at Gaza.
The commitment was unveiled by Mrs. Retno L. P. Marsudi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia in a press conference on the outcome of the ASEAN-GCC Riyadh Summit at the King Abdulaziz Convention Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this morning.
ASEAN-GCC leaders called for all concerned parties to ensure the most efficient access for humanitarian aid, relief supplies, basic necessities, restoration of electricity and water, and others.
They also supported for a verified process in cooperation between European Union, Arabic States, Middle East, Jordan and Israel in accordance with the international law and the UN resolution.
The ASEAN-GCC Riyadh Summit kick-started this morning in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia under the co-chairmanship between His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and H.E. Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia.
The ASEAN Leaders including Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the GCC Member States, GCC Secretary-General, and ASEAN Secretary-General also joined the first ever summit.
