H.E. KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, received here at the ministry on July 2 Professor Tetsuya Watanabe, President of the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA). According to an MFAIC's press release, during the courtesy call, the two sides acknowledged the impact of the rapid technological changes on regional supply chain and exchanged views on areas in which Cambodia and ERIA can work together in that context, both bilaterally and multilaterally through the ASEAN platform, such as trade and investment, digital economy, green economy, circular economy, sustainable development, artificial intelligence, and human resource development. H.E. KUNG Phoak highlighted that ERIA is well placed to engage both public and private sectors in Cambodia on these important areas of cooperation which underpin the development goals of Cambodia.
