BAKU: Azerbaijani and Chinese companies have signed agreements during a conference on promoting logistics and trade in Azerbaijan, a demonstration zone of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Trend reports. The documents were signed by representatives of Qingdao Qingsong Global Cooperation International Trade Co., Ltd., Eco Voyage LLC, Shandong Qilu Express Europe-Asia Train Operation Co., Ltd., and Absheron Logistics Center. The agreements are looking to join forces in the realm of transport and tourism, as well as foster the growth of trade between companies. To note, 245 companies from China are actively operating in Azerbaijan across sectors including industry, agriculture, transportation, construction, trade, and services. Additionally, the trade turnover between the two countries increased by 26 percent from January through May this year, compared to the same period last year, reaching $1.3 billion.
