BAKU: The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's leadership and the heads of Azerbaijani diplomatic missions abroad visited the Alley of Honor and the Martyrs' Alley on the occasion of the professional holiday of the country's diplomatic service employees, Trend reports. The diplomats paid tribute to the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, by laying a wreath and flowers at his tomb. Foreign Ministry personnel also honored the memory of the prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, and laid flowers at her tomb. Flowers were then laid at the tombs of the distinguished statesman Aziz Aliyev and the renowned doctor and scientist Tamerlan Aliyev. Further, they paid their respects at the Eternal Flame memorial and visited the tombs of Azerbaijanis who laid down their lives defending the nation's independence and territorial integrity.
