Phnom penh: The Cambodia-Thailand Regional Border Committee (RBC) Meeting between the Cambodian 4th Military Region and the Thai 2nd Army Area, originally scheduled for Oct. 15-17, 2025, has been postponed at the request of the Thai side.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the update was shared by H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence. She stated that the RBC meeting will be replaced by the RBC Secretariat meeting scheduled for Oct. 17.
The Cambodian 4th Military Region will continue to coordinate with the Thai side to organise the RBC meeting as expeditiously as possible, she said. This commitment is aimed at allowing both sides to promote the continued full and effective implementation of the ceasefire, seek practical cooperation to enhance peace and stability, and facilitate a swift return to normalcy between the two countries, the spokeswoman underlined.
