MONSTA RAYA ADVERTISEMENT ‘TEMANI RAYA’ GARNERS 20 MLN VIEWS IN 24 HOURS

MONSTA’s advertisement is once again trending this year when it went viral on social media after gaining 20 million views within 24 hours after being uploaded on various MONSTA digital platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok.

According to a MONSTA statement, ‘Temani Raya’ is the fourth edition of MONSTA’s series of public advertisements after ‘Keberan Raya’ in 2019, ‘Eidulfitri Memory’ in 2021 and ‘Kembali Aidilfitri’ last year which attracted 48 million views on MONSTA’s YouTube channel.

“The hashtags #TemaniRaya, #BoboiBoy, #Mechamato, Pian succeeded in trending on Twitter in Malaysia and Indonesia immediately after the appearance of the advertisement.

“Temani Raya also jumped to the sixth position of Youtube Trending in just 20 hours, while on the Tik Tok platform, the hashtag #TemaniRaya was actively used by 16.7 million times by viewers and fans,” said the statement.

According to MONSTA, the advertisement themed ‘Temani Raya’, tells the story of Amato and his son Oboi (BoBoiBoy) going to visit his best friend Pian who is celebrating Hari Raya alone.

The statement said the average comment showed the audience’s excitement when they could see the character Pian, a familiar character in the animated series Mechamato, becoming a grown-up man.

The funny behaviour of little BoBoiBoy, MechaBot with his father as well as the close friendship between Amato and Pian from childhood to adulthood are also the talk among fans, said the statement.

According to MONSTA chief executive officer Nizam Abd Razak it has become a tradition for MONSTA to produce special animations every Hari Raya celebration.

“Starting from ‘Keberanar Raya’ to ‘Temani Raya’, each of these animations takes time and costs a lot. But this is a gift for all of you,” he said.

While MONSTA marketing director Faiz Zainal Aabidin said this is a special gift from MONSTA for the fans and viewers who have always given strong support to MONSTA over the years.

According to the statement, those who have watched Mechamato Movie, can definitely feel the connection between MONSTA’s advertisement ‘Temani Raya’ and the elements found in the film such as the Maskmana character, Mercu Destar building and the Wau Bulan Spaceship used by the popular animated character Papa Zola.
