SHAH ALAM, Motorists using light vehicles have been urged to avoid using the Section U12 tunnel, here following the rise in water level due to heavy rain.

The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA), in a post on X (formerly Twitter), told motorists to use alternative routes.

“The public is advised to avoid the Persiaran Kayangan (in front of Concorde Hotel); Persiaran Sukan in Section 13 (in front of Ramli Burger franchise) and Persimpangan PUSPAKOM in Section 16.

“Also avoid Persiaran Masjid next to Section 5 retention pond and Jalan Kapar in Section 27,” it said.

For any emergency or urgent assistance due to flooding in Shah Alam, the public can contact the PANTAS Team at 03-5510 5811.

Earlier today, a Bernama survey found that several areas in Shah Alam experienced heavy rain and storm at 6 pm which lasted around two hours.
