Yangon: A fighter aircraft belonging to the Tatmadaw (Air), the air force of the Myanmar Armed Forces, crashed in the Yangon region following a bird strike during a training flight early Monday, as reported by military-owned Myawaddy TV and Xinhua. According to Nam News Network, the crash occurred at approximately 5.16 am local time near Nyaunghnapin village in Hmawbi township. The incident was triggered when a bird entered the aircraft's engine, leading to a fire and ultimately resulting in the crash. The pilot managed to safely eject after ensuring the aircraft was steered away from a residential area before abandoning it. Security forces are currently conducting necessary operations around the crash site. There were no injuries reported among the crew members involved in the incident.
