Siem reap: The Ministry of Tourism and Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport are set to collaborate on organizing new international tourism events to draw more visitors to Siem Reap province. This initiative was solidified during a meeting between H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and Mr. Lu WEI, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Angkor International Airport Investment (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., along with his colleague. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Lu WEI briefed the minister on the current flow of tourists through Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport. He also requested recommendations and support for the project to host new international tourism events in the region. H.E. Huot Hak commended the company's efforts to continuously increase air passenger numbers and its initiative to recognize the significant tourism potential and investment opportunities in Siem Reap province. These plans are in alignment with the Cambodia-China Tourism Year 2025 campaign, aimed at attracting more national a nd international tourists to Siem Reap and Cambodia as a whole.
