The ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) does not choose any country, but considers all as equal friends, even though ASEAN has now become a hotbed of competition between superpowers.
CPP President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen made the remarks at an inter-party roundtable held via Videoconference this afternoon under the theme ‘Role of Russian and ASEAN political parties in creating a fair new world.’
Samdech Techo Hun Sen called on all political parties to adhere to international law and to find a peaceful solution as war cannot end war. He also reiterated the CPP’s continued support to all-round cooperation between the United Russia Party and other parties in the ASEAN region.
In addition, the CPP president called on all UN member states to remain committed to strengthening the role of the United Nations, especially to respecting the UN Charter for the world order.
