The Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI) and the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) have reached a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in an effort to enhance Cambodia's digital security and convenience. The MoU was signed here on July 8 between H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of MISTI and H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of MPTC. Under this agreement, MPTC will support MISTI with the use of the verify.gov.kh, develop internet infrastructure and connectivity, and provide digital skills training in line with the Digital Government Policy 2022-2035, said MISTI in a news release after the signing ceremony. The verification process through verify.gov.kh will integrate standard QR Code documents across the fields of industry, science, technology, and innovation, pointed out the source, adding that this initiative aims to eliminate document falsification and foster the platform development and digital government products.
